David Alvarez
David Alvarez, former President and Vice-Chairman of Providian Financial, one of the largest credit card issuers worldwide, was instrumental in its rapid growth between 1990 and 2001. Providian Financial recently sold for $6.45 billion to Washington Mutual. Mr. Alvarez holds both BA and MA degrees from Stanford University. Currently, David Alvarez is the co-founder and CEO of Nexxo Financial, a company that makes sending money abroad easier, safer and more affordable.

 
         
 
 

Michael Canul
Michael Canul is the Founder and CEO of De Computis, a professional services company that provides a full range of tax, accounting and advisory services For over 16 years, Mr. Canul has led an exemplary career in the fields of finance and accounting for various public, private and not for profit foundations. Additionally, he also co-founded and recently served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Latino Business Professionals (LBP). Jose Cisneros
Appointed by Mayor Gavin Newsom in 2004 and elected to a full term in 2005, José Cisneros is the Treasurer for the City and County of San Francisco. Treasurer Cisneros serves as the City's banker and chief investment officer, managing all tax and revenue collection for San Francisco.  Under his tenure, the office has achieved historically low property tax delinquency rates, and strong investment returns, outpacing other large California counties.  Treasurer Cisneros has also launched the innovative Working Families Credit and Bank on San Francisco programs.

 
         
 
 

Ernie Cortes
Ernie Cortes is a partner with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He has more than 21 years of experience, during which time he has served a variety of clients, from startups to mature, multinational companies. He serves as Ernst & Young’s area diversity coordinator for the Pacific Northwest Area. Additionally, he is a co-founder of the San Jose Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) and currently serves as a director of the Latino Business Professionals of Silicon Valley (LBP).

 
         
   

Hugo Delgado
A CPA and a Partner in the CPA and Business Advising firm of Rodriguez, Perez, Delgado & Co., LLP.   Mr. Delgado has over 31 years of professional experience.  He has also held various accounting positions in private industry including Assistant Treasurer at American International Underwriters and Controller at Industrial Indemnity Financial Corporation.Mr. Delgado holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from U.C. Berkeley.  His affiliations include the AICPA and CSCPA.  He is the co-Founder of the Northern California chapter of the AAHCPAs’ now known as LBP and is a former President. 

 
         
 
 

Ludmyrna Lopez
Ludmyrna Lopez is a Principal Financial Analyst for the City of Oakland. Previously she was a Senior Fiscal Analyst for the City and County of San Francisco. Previous positions also include: Finance Officer for the San Francisco Department of Child Support Services, several leadership positions within the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., and the California State Assembly. She is active on boards, committees and enjoys mentoring Richmond youth to foster their educational goals. She’s earned a M.S. in Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.A. in Liberal Studies/Business Administration, California State University, Hayward.

 
         
 
 

Miguel Palma
Miguel A. Palma is a Certified Public Accountant and Professional Financial Specialist. His firm provides tax minimization strategies, pension plan designs, as well as accounting to a variety of businesses in the Hispanic community. After graduating from college, he spent six years as an accountant with the national accounting firms of Deloitte & Touche and Price Waterhouse. Additionally, Palma has served as founding Chairman of the Board of the Greater San Jose Hispanic Chamber and as founding Treasurer of the Hispanic Association of Realtors.

 
         
 
 

Hilda Ramirez
Hilda Ramirez, President of Equity Preservation, Inc. has assisted tens of thousands of investors in building wealth through 1031 exchanges since 1986. Her clientele spans members of the US Congress to the Valley's most prominent real estate developers. She presently sits on the National Board of Directors for the Federation of Exchange Accommodators, was Founding President of HARA, was seated on the Board of SCCAOR for seven years and was instrumental in the Washington, D.C. lobbying efforts of the Hispanic Alliance for Free Trade and the passage of CAFTA. Javier Rojas
Javier is a managing director at Kennet Partners and leads its US investment activities. Previously, he was a managing director of Broadview International. Javier specialized in advising high growth, early-stage companies on how to capitalize on emerging technology markets and partnering opportunities. Earlier, he founded a software firm that developed products for capital markets interest rate and currency swap traders. He holds an MBA degree from The Harvard Business School and a BAS degree from Georgetown University.

 
         
   

Rafael Torres
Rafael Torres is the Chief Financial Officer of Power Integrations, a publicly traded semiconductor company with revenues > $200M annually and Market Cap > $800M. Rafael’s first major undertaking was to lead the company through its financial restatement and to assist the company in regaining its re-listing status on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange.  The successful restatement was completed and the company was re-listed on Nasdaq in August of 2007. Additionally, in 2006, he was recognized as one of the Top 40 under 40 by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
