Frank Andrade
Andrade has been involved in the newspaper industry for the past sixty years. He started working for the San Francisco Daily News at the age of 8 selling newspapers. While attending college, he worked with the San Francisco Examiner as a circulation/district manager. In the following years, he secured circulation for various newspapers throughout the nation. In 1966, he returned to the Bay Area to work with the San Jose Mercury News. In 1978, Frank Andrade and his wife, Mary began publishing La Oferta. Today, La Oferta is a success story that showcases the strengths of the Hispanic community.

Ysabel Duron
Duron is an award-winning journalist with over 36 years in television news. An inductee in the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences “Silver Circle” for more than 25 years of meritorious work, her long list of accolades include an SPJ Excellence in Journalism Award, 2 Emmy’s including one for the 1973 Patricia Hearst Kidnap, an RTNDA award for an adoption reunion series, a John Swett Award, the highest honor from the California Teachers Association, for a series “Trouble with Teachers.” Duron was presented with the Living Legacy Award in 2002 by The Chicana- Latina Foundation. A cancer survivor Duron founded the non-profit agency, Latinas Contra Cancer.

Roberta Gonzales
Four-time Emmy Award winning Roberta Gonzales is the Weather Anchor for CBS and KCBS-AM. Gonzales has won awards including the Associated Press Award for "Best Weathercast" nine times, two awards for "Best Host" of CBS 5's Bay to Breakers, and was named “Woman of the Year”. Gonzalez has also been voted “Volunteer of the Year” by the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association and National Humane Society and has founded her own scholarship fund.

Marina Hinestrosa
As editor and publisher of Nuevo Mundo, Hinestrosa had her finger on the pulse of the Latino community. Nuevo Mundo boasted 42,000 readers in the Alameda and Santa Clara Counties and was distributed throughout San Francisco and San Mateo. It also won several awards from New California Media who considered it to be the "Pulitzer" of ethnic media. Currently, Hinestrosa is a Public Communications Specialist for the Office of Public Affairs in Santa Clara County.

Rosana Madrigal
Since 1990, Rosana Madrigal has been working for the KLIV/KRTY Empire Broadcasting Corporation where she has been a News Reporter and Public Affairs Director. She has now taken on the EEO responsibilities. Madrigal has covered stories including visits by President Bill Clinton and has interviewed from Congress members to local residents. Madrigal has served as a board member for organizations including the Latina Coalition of the Silicon Valley, Los Lupenos of San Jose, California Chicano News Media Association and of the American Women in Radio and TV. She has been honored as a “Hispanic Portrait of Success,” and has received numerous awards from elected officials and community organizations. She is currently the President of the Silicon Valley Radio and Television Public Affairs Director.

Hilbert Morales, MPH
As Publisher and President, El Observador Publications, Inc., he has focused on providing commentaries based on factual and substantiated information to Hispanic-Latino readers. He has used analytic approach based upon his prior training bio-medical sciences. Hilbert’s vast and comprehensive experience (43 years) include health care planning and administration at Stanford Medical Center and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center as well as numerous activities in many community based organizations, He believes that when an individual is provided “good information and theory”, he/she is enabled to make informed decisions which, over time, improve the social, economic, and public policy outcomes which impact our collective community and its living standard.

Len Ramirez
San Jose native Len Ramirez is a veteran broadcast news reporter with 24 years of on-air experience. For the past 17 years, Len has reported for CBS 5 Eyewitness News covering the Santa Clara County/South Bay Region. Len received an Emmy award in 2003 for Best Daytime Newscast. He has also received three awards in 1985, 1986 and 2005 from the Radio and Television News Directors Association for excellence in news reporting. He also has three other Emmy nominations for breaking and investigative news. During his career, Len has covered many major national and international stories including the Mexico City earthquake, the Los Angeles riots, and the OJ Simpson murder trial. Len specializes in covering Santa Clara County for CBS 5.

Celina Rodriguez
Celina Rodriguez former anchor with Telemundo/KSTS-TV 48 (Noticiero 48) and CNN EN ESPANOL. Ms Rodriguez’s has an extensive history in the Bay Area which began in 1985 when she was awarded a John S. Knight Fellowship at Stanford University. In June 2003 Ms Rodriguez received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters, Honored Causa from the National Hispanic University. Celina holds a degree of Science in Communication from Guadalajara, Mexico. She has been the recipient of many awards both in Mexico and in the United States including a Leadership Award of Outstanding Contributions and Dedication to the Hispanic Community from the National Hispanic University and a State Award in Journalism from Comunicación Cultural, A.C., Guadalajara, México.

Joe Rodriguez
Joe Rodriguez is a journalist for the San Jose Mercury News whose work can be seen in a column entitled “East Side, West Side”. He is a graduate of the Colombia School of Journalism and a Harvard University Neiman Fellow. He has served on the Board of Directors for CCNMA and for the USC Annenberg School of Journalism. In addition to his column, Rodriguez also runs Mosaic, an annual Mercury News youth newspaper project.

Damian Trujillo
Damian has been honored with awards from the Associated Press, the Radio and Television News Director's Association (RTNDA), and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. He is past member of the Board of Governors for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Damian was also named Reporter of the Year in 2004 by the Associated Press Television and Radio Association (APTRA) for California and Nevada, and nominated three times for the prestigious Emmy Award. Today, Damian, his wife Monica, and daughter Malyna, give a scholarship to a high school senior in Damian’s hometown of Greenfield. Applicants must be sons or daughters of farm worker parents. Damian holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from San Jose State University.
